| you know, it's been a long time since my last post. but it's all because stupid xanga never loads when i try to sign in. so by some miraculous deed, my internet decided to let me connect today! yay
i really had a good time at coffeehouse and i was glad to see a lot of people who showed up. =D
nice job everyone...
i'm beginning to see my songwriting as so much more than just an accident that happened when i was playing around on the piano. without knowing it, it seems like i've touched a lot of people with "Forecast for Tomorrow"...a lesson God really put on my heart since i wasn't even at Express God through the Arts night.
when writing my song at the last minute on friday, i began to realize that this ... this talent i have comes really from above. all my experiences, my control over language and music was developed from a young age to form the mix that enables me to write today. and when i try to write just for the sake of writing, it doesn't work. my music only flows with the most genuine, sincere things and that's what touches people.
thanks everyone for supporting me. and here's a shoutout to katie for being my music-buddy: i've really learned a lot from you and i hope we continue to do music together, because, in all honesty, i think we rock! haha =D |
